Cruel Despot
Purchased some time ago, but Ars Magica 5th Definitive Edition arrived today. I don't recall receiving a shipping notification, and I haven't been paying all that much attention, so it was a nice surprise.
No. I always sit a new book on it's spine, open it and then let the pages drop gradually to either side. I didn't notice anything unusual while doing this -- if there was any stickiness, it wasn't enough to get my attention.Another Ars Magica here, including the cloth map of Mythic Europe (I’m a sucker for maps…)

@SableWyvern - did you need to separate a whole bunch of pages in your book? I had to carefully separate about a third of mine. Not sure if it was a poor cut or the gold embossing that caused it.
Yeah, it's easily the highest quality book I own; the paper stock they've used is heavier than anything I can recall coming across in a proper, bound book and all the interior embellishments are extremely thematic and well-done.Must have been a quirk of mine then. I had to separate literally hundreds of pages across the book. At least they all separated nice and cleanly. It is a beautiful book, would have been heartbreaking to tear any of the pages.
