White Wolf announced that they will fully reveal a new project for Vampire: The Masquerade TTRPG at Gen Con 2026.

The announcement of this project, which is in early stages of development, occurred at Darkness Emergent LA panel. White Wolf revealed little information about the project outside of the following (from their blog):

"The new project is our love letter to the 30+ years of vampires that have led us here. We’re celebrating the connection between lore and mechanics, rules and storytelling. The design is focused on player agency, collaboration, and making the experience feel personal. The art direction is built around illustration, with a strong commitment to human-made work.

We’re also looking at how we want to work with the metaplot in future books. The sense that history is moving and your chronicle exists inside something larger matters to people. It matters to us too.
"

There is a full presentation on the project and the roadmap for the World of Darkness scheduled for Thursday at Gen Con 2026. This is the first time White Wolf has attended Gen Con since Paradox revived them as a tabletop development studio in 2025 (see "Revives White Wolf").
This sounds a lot to me like a new corebook, but maybe I'm just lacking in imagination. Any other ideas?

Watching Dimension 20: City Council of Darkness, has made me a lot more interested in VtM than I've been in decades and I'm definitely curious about what's coming.

Reddit is suggesting a five year anniversary edition of VTM 5, with a marbled cover, reorganized book with illustrations rather than photos, and all the clans in one place. Which sounds good but not like a crazy wish list pipe dream.

Eh. I already own the 2 books that have all the clans so no need for a better organized book.

The announcement doesn’t sound like a reprint of the 5-year-old core.

That sounds like maybe a lighter, more story-focused game. That would be nice.
