What is your favourite non-D&D adjacent fantasy RPG?

Daggerheart, easily. It needs more content, for sure, but system and play wise, it has effectively replaced D&D for heroic fantasy for me.
Isnt daggerheart even more D&D adjacent than Weird Wizard though?

9 most typical D&D classes (3 with different names). Made to replicate 5e feeling with advantage, short and long rests, typical D&D spells and abilities etc.

For the question itseld:

Hmm Beacon and Wyrdwood wand are both inspired by 4e so I guess they dont count.

So I would say Emberwind. It can be even played without a GM. And it has a clean 4 action system which works and is fun and does not need multiattack modifiers and does not feels taxing as it does in PF2: Fantasy Tabletop RPG for Beginners & Advanced Players - EMBERWIND

EDIT: Here an enworld thread explaining a bit more: Game Design Masterclass: Emberwind

I really like its attributes since they all have different uses and thresholds. Even things like limiting number of reactions or buffs depend on some stats.

The power progression does partially go wide instead of steep giving more total options but the options to choose a t the same time is still limited.

I can't say why SotWW was included as I have never played it, but based on everything else in the OP I assume they meant the system was derived from D&D in some way. That is not true of Daggerheart in any meaningful way. Daggerheart wears its influences on its sleave and calls them out explicitly in the book, but it is as much PbtA adjacent as it is D&D adjacent.

Daggerheart is ok. Using two d12s alone qualifies it.

I enjoyed Forbidden Lands quite a bit. It felt different enough from D&D, while also giving me an old school feel.

Though, to be completely honest im burned out on fantasy. A GM would have to really really pull out the stops to get me to sign up for any type of fantasy game at this point.
I used to own the box. Not sure why I sold it. That was before I started playing solo regularly. My RPG mind set has changed a lot in the last two years. I've ordered the box again from the local store.

GEAS, but I'm biased ;)

Modos 2! (Also biased.) Why: the short rule-set spends more time saying "you can do this" than "you can't do this."
