D&D 5E (2024) What old monsters should return to 5e?

aren't tieflings descended through human bloodlines in 5e? unless you're proposing a half-human half-kobold tiefling. in which case i hate that.

IIRC in 5.5e tieflings and aasimar are the product of "humanoids" instead of "humans" mating with fiends and celestials. I realize that in the same edition they maybe made kobolds dragon type instead of humanoid (though there's some wishy washy lore where like "player kobolds are humanoid, monster kobolds are more dragony and get the dragon type), but RAW you can be a tiefling of halfling descent and take the small size.
