A few people appear to think these books are new versions of the classes. They're not, they're supplements for the existing classes. We do new versions of the classes in A5E, but this is not that.

As for which we'll do next, we'll see how the first one goes before we decide if this even IS a viable product line. I hope it is!

We're all doing Insight checks here. ;)

1) artificer, because in 5e it's been treated as a bit of a tacked on piece and given the bare minimum of content compared to the other classes.
2) ranger, because anything they can to offer as alternatives to it being hunter's mark the class i will desperately snatch at.

as much as i'd love the idea of a species supplement but i feel like they've already decided and committed to the fact that species isn't going to be an impactful piece of your character build this edition, and if they were going to give halflings and dwarves subspecies they would've done it with the others rather than add it now.

Going off topic (hey, who's driving this bus!?!), I would love an EN Publishing book of backgrounds. I know a lot of folks on DMs Guild have published background books; but an EN Publishing "101 Backgrounds" or something would be a nice addition.

Nothing wrong with taking the scenic route. ;) I take it you mean the backgrounds in 5e. :) I am more a fan of the ones in Level Up.

Well yeah, Morrus seems to be focused on the 5.5e right now.
A5e may be back; but at the same time, it feels pretty complete. Also, Level Up is in this weird place because Advanced 5.0; but then WotC came out with 5.5 - so where exactly does that leave A5E?

...they're literally advertising an upcoming kickstarter for an a5e book (secrets of the tome) right now. and the gpg and alpha star magazines are still going strong. i have no clue what you're on about with this implication that a5e is on the backburner.

It depends on who you ask. For those of us who backed Level Up when it was initially being crowdfunded, had looked it over and tried it out during their role-playing sessions, Level Up with its' 5e chassis feels like what WoTC's 5.5 ought to have been. I know that it seems that way to me, at least.

Huh? We've always done both. Secrets of the Tome (A5E) is in layout as we speak. I'm also working on Target: Alpha our second OneQuest solo adventure game book and Tyrant's Call, our second card game. Plus Issue 3 of Alpha Star for A5E is crowdfunding right now, and the latest Issue of Gate Pass Gazette just got released and I'm editing Issue 4. And Level Up Gateway, our A5E character builder, just got all 13 core classes pushed up to level 20. I'd say that there's more stuff for A5E going on right now than many games get in a year.
