What videogames are you playing in 2026?

It’s a fine game - I love how solid and heavy the mechs feel, and the combat is decent. But as there are no tonnage limits then late game it all comes down to how big your mechs are - I would have preferred to keep the smaller mechs relevant somehow.
I've run it to completion with only light mechs. Its a bit of a slog but it also requires quite a bit more strategy which makes it more challenging.

I'm going through a Romancing SaGa trilogy playthrough in order to prep for the Romancing SaGa 3 remake coming out next year. I haven't played Minstrel Saga since it came out on the PS2 and I haven't played the RS2 remake at all yet.

SaGa fans continue winning

Probably would have needed for costs to be more of an issue and/or weight to matter as to terrain.

The easiest way to implement it would be for the landing craft to have a strict weight budget, which can be upgraded as the game goes on through the same menu as the mothership. Maybe keep it below the level that would allow for a full deployment of heavy mechs barring getting some successful outcomes on certain in-flight random events.

Yeah, making it difficult or impossible to deliver all heavy vehicles would have functioned as well as a cost cap.
Could lead to some interesting compromises during outfitting too - like, you could squeeze an additional medium mech on this mission, but only by stripping out some heatsinks and/or armour, or you could swap one out for a fully loaded light mech.

I just started a new playthrough of Tears of the Kingdom. I'm not much of a video game guy but I forgot how good it is. I may even buy Breath of the Wild when I finish ToTK. I am not, however, buying a Switch 2.
I can confirm it is well worth the price, particularly for those two games: 4K at 60 FPS is pretty sweet on a decent TV. And the constant stream of new games now, it's practically like drinking from a fire hose.

Yeah that would have been the approach I would have liked. I believe the tabletop game has tonnage limits, but they were never implemented here. In the endgame a full lance of Assault Mechs is always the best way to go.
