Approximately every third person action game will be more elegant with the controller due to the analog sticks, to be honest, but I can't think of any that need it.I recently (finally) got a Xbox controller for my PC. What Steam games are must-play with a controller rather than M&C?
I own a Playstation 5. And yes, Horizons is amazing.@Reynard having considered it for a while, I feel that Horizon Zero Dawn, Ghosts of Taushima or Gran Turismo would be worth checking out. Playing Playstation games on Steam with an Xbox controller is about as 2026 as it gets.
I am pretty sure I ruined my controller playing Need For Speed: Heat (which I did not even finish because of control issues). So while driving games need controllers, controllers do not necessarily need driving games.Approximately every third person action game will be more elegant with the controller due to the analog sticks, to be honest, but I can't think of any that need it.
Also any game wirh driving, due to the analog bumpers.

Nothing quite as slick as the bumpers as pedal and brake and analog stick as steering wheel.I own a Playstation 5. And yes, Horizons is amazing.
I didn't think about driving games. Good call.
It didn't die then per se. It was more like a crippling injury that eventually I gave up trying to compensate for. I kept taking it apart to try and fix the stick drift but either it is just too far gone or, more likely, it is just beyond my skills to fix. I was trying to 100% Hades II at the time but I ended up stopping before I wanted to. If would probably still be fine for something that played well with just the buttons where the sticks could be completely disabled. It died fulfiing it's purpose.
Even when I was in over 30 years ago,the tank simulator driving control look a whole lot like what would eventually be a Xbox style controller. Saying that, I realize I have no idea when controllers started looking like that. I was a PC gamer my entire childhood minus the Atari 2600.Nothing quite as slick as the bumpers as pedal and brake and analog stick as steering wheel.
It's why the military actually uses Xbox controllers for drones.
