Thanks, @Thomas Shey @Reynard

But I really don't play any games anymore. AAA or otherwise. Unless you count old arcade games (1970-1980) on an emulator.

The last recent-ish thing I tried (a demo of) was DOOM (2016). That was pretty intense; I died almost immediately while wildly shooting around me. I'm too old for this lets-not-say-this-naughty-word.

Well, most of the games I'm talking about are not action games; they're strategy or quasi-CRPGs, often turn based.

I feel like anyone who is starting development on a brand new game with significantly better graphics than what current games offer is courting disaster given the hardware situation. But games that have been in development for a long time are probably somewhat locked in graphically at this point.

Well, I diligently avoid anything that requires a resident launcher from the game source, so that somewhat limits my options.

Been having a blast play through BG3 now that I have finally gotten past my restaritis. Currently doing heading towards the Grymforge to finish out the act one quests with a level 7 party led by my Durge Monk. I love zipping around the battlefield with my stupid high speed while my long range companions snipe from behind.

Even after 3 years, I still don't get tired much of BG3. Working on my 10th finished playthrough now (plus some others parked in earlier spots.)

Now that I've done Honor Mode, having fun with mods. My current favorite lets you add the Dark Urge tag to an Origin character, so I'm playing a very brutal Durge Karlach along with best pal Astarion. And we're all using lightsabers and the Force for kicks. :)
