I do not know if I just misread Umbran's original use of sleazy when I first looked at his reply but I was being a bit loose with words and what I was thinking of when I said "big sleaze" was stuff like blood magic - ways of harnessing power that are extremely unethical to outright evil.

And the analogy to wealth was that just because you can comprehend a million, a billion, or gulp a trillion dollars does not mean you have that kind of money. And as such "magic exists" in no way shape or form strongly entails that you can do magic.
