When was the last time mounts/mounted combat saw a use?

In my games, very very little. About 3-5% of the fights.

In one game we have an NPC paladin who likes it. In another we will soon have a halfling paladin/cavalier. So... pretty often for us.

in my game no mount survives more then 2 sessions, my dm has a mental problem with them. so the aswer is basicly never. however the spell "mount" gets used ppretty much all the time

I think I last saw mounted combat happen in late 2004. Before that... eh. Not sure I ever did. We don't get that a lot in dungeons.

In about 80% of the fights in my game. One of the PCs is a paladin, and her war horse is pretty canny.

Over a year ago the last time and then it was a fairly short encounter. Doesn't seem to come up a lot of the time.

I really want to use it though, so far it just didn't come up.

We had a paladin in our Return to the Temple of Elemental Evil game, and that horse saved us more than once even if the paladin was not riding it. None of the games I'm in at the moment have mounts so it doesn't com eup all that often. I like it though. Mounted combat on a good mount is fun.
