When?

Re: 5th edition, I have one simple question that I don't think I've seen answered in any of the posts or information thus far:

When?

Has there been any word (official or unofficial) about an anticipated date for the release of the 5th edition books? Any information (again, official, unofficial) regarding how long the playtest process is anticipated to take? Any hints or tidbits or rumors from which a person could reasonably speculate regarding an anticipated street date?

The only thing I've heard is perhaps/probably GenCon 2013 based on the moving of the D&D Experience to GenCon that year.

Anyone have any information to offer or point us to beyond that? Or does anyone have any reasoned or idle speculation regarding when we're actually going to see the final product?

Thanks!

There has been no indication of a launch date yet. However, the popular money is on Gen Con 2013 due to the fact that DDXP will be moving to Gen Con that year.
The document is pretty regularly updated. That's all we know.

Now, if they really, truly want to Do It Right and take the Blizzard approach to QA - it will probably be later than that. However, given that there are Hasborg bean-counters cracking whips, we might see it on time, but it will have been rushed, or may even be cancelled as they shelve the entire brand.
