Who Should Make The Next Star Wars TTRPG, And What Should It Look Like?

Scum and Villainy is great, but you have to want to play a narrative style game.

For my money, the best way to play Star Wars is with SWADE. You don't even need the Sci-Fi Companion, just use the core book and the Vehicle Guide. Reskin to taste.
SWADE is alright, but I'd rather play in something like Stars Without Number or Level Up (Voidrunner's Codex). The less narrative the better for me.

SWADE doesn't really have any narrative elements, and does Pulp Adventure (of which Star Wars is a flavor) better than OSR games IMO. And A5E is just too much fiddly bits for Star Wars for me.

Yeah, for a more genuinely pulpy Star Wars with an existing system, I'd pick something like Outgunned rather than SWADE. Or something like Cortex Prime for force/non-force co-existence at the table, but I know that won't make the no-narrative people happy.

But I honestly think Star Wars is one of those IPs that work better with a system tailor-made for it.

On of theses days* I will pick up Outgunned just to check it out.

*and by that I mean, "one of these Humble Bundles"
