Because that would be cheating

Besides, dragon wings also protect you when you are falling and unconsious.

The dragon wings are mostly 'flavor', but IMO you need improved dragon wings to get any 'real' use out of them.

And more, my other options are (flavor wise) the Draconic feats, and they suck, or Dragon feats, and they rely on Racial HD (which I don't have)

Far as "flavor" goes, you could just cast Flight of the Dragon, a spell that gives you dragon wings and sorcerers even cast at +1 spell level.

[In Spell Compendium, it's a level 4 spell that lasts 10 min/level, "all-dungeon long," but anoyingly too short for all day. In either Races of the Dragon or Dragon Magic (I forget), it's level 5 and hour/level, which I'm willing to pay a level 5 slot for quite happily.]
