Why Fantasy?

I'm at a loss as to why the notion that Star Wars if fantasy with a veneer of SciFi is a new idea to anyone.
I dunno about others. But to me... Star Wars is Sci Fi. And since there are only three films ever made and nothing else ever came from it, the tiny bit of Jedi in that one and only trilogy does not skew it to Fantasy for me. It's not hard sci fi, but for the 70's and 80's it was close enough that it got put in that section of the store so to speak ;)

My elk tags for archery and rifle each year will beg to differ.... :P

sure, archery is more training, but.... with same training my rifle has some words to say on this subject.
Your elk tags have nothing to do with historical adoption of one or the other tech. Training time, on the other hand, does. So there's that.

Read my post again bud. I am willing to bet you don't follow I am saying... ;)
No, I'm pretty sure that your post has nothing interesting to say about mine, but hey, here we are. So rather than tell me read your post again, which is both rude and pointless, maybe make your point differently? I'm quite happy to discuss.

You are on a tear today, bud. We an chat on it later.
I'm not trying to be a dink, honestly. My position is based on my considered opinion about medieval tech. I don't care one way or another about your personal experience (no offense). If you have something to say about the need for longbow training versus the easier crossbow or handgun please, jump on in. Enrich our dialogue,

When it comes to training time

Crossbow training maybe, but training in the musket was not easy and quite often expensive and the danger of utilizing poorly trained musketeers was significant. Muskets were used despite the risks and expense of gun powder (plus the level of training required for professional musketeers).
