Widow's Bay and Horror Campaigns

Growing up in Northern California near the coast meant being very familiar with fog, and foggy nights were the absolute best when we’d play CoC or a Ravenloft adventure!
We don't have nearly as many of those days here in Southern California, but every once in a while from my house I get a view like this one of the San Fernando Valley.

I used to live in Malibu and we'd get our share of foggy nights... they were glorious. Fog banks hanging over ocean beaches is amazing.
A few years ago we went to San Francisco in July for family vacation and I was shocked and awed by how the fog crawled over the hills. Also, it was surprisingly cold.

Unless it is absolutely a scorcher in San Francisco, you always gotta plan to wear layers. Just one of the many quirks of the city.

Yeah. Layers protect from the zombies coming out of the fog. Human teeth have problems getting through flannel.

Hey when the zombies grab you, you want to make sure you can ditch the layer and still have something underneath to keep you warm!

Again, people are super-scared of zombies, but those teeth, man, they're three-quarters herbivorous, and the jaw is short and we've got no bite-force to speak of. A good set of motorcycle gear (leather or kevlar, either will do) and you don't have much to worry about.

Deep into thread drift here, so a spoiler block for the uninterested

Another lovely day, visiting Marazion and seeing St Michael’s Mount. We didn’t visit the mount this year, but have in the past.

It is interesting how different zombie stuff tries to make sense of this (if at all). One thing that comes up is that zombies don't care about pulled muscles so they are preternaturally strong. Other times they are just supernaturally powerful. In the Walking Dead they are generally weak, and most characters only die if swarmed.
