Wizards and Multiclass Substitutions

I haven't found anything in the books to clarify this, but it seems multiclass wizards could be a bit odd with their daily/utility powers.

If the base class is wizard, the character gets to choose two dailies (for example) at 1st level, but only "slot" one in any given day. Said wizard multiclasses into Warlord and takes the daily swap feat. Does the wizard replace a daily spell in his book with a daily exploit and can slot either one in a given day? Or does he completely give up that spell slot and both the backing spells, making it forevermore a daily exploit?

Both options seem to be potential balance issues, and both also seem potential flavor issues.

Nevermind. I found the FAQ. Geez, that thing is buried.

7. How does retraining and multiclassing work with the spellbook?

If you retrain a daily or utility power you only retrain one of your two choices for that level, if you choose a lower level power while retraining it still occupies the same level. If you swap a power with a power from a different class through multiclassing you replace both spell choices with the new power. If you are replacing spells as you gain a level, like at 15th level when you replace a daily power, you replace the spells from one level with an equal number of spells from the new level.
