Wizards of the Coast is getting back into the Actual Play game. Today, Wizards announced via Variety that they are launching a new Actual Play show called Dungeon Masters, starring Jasmine Bhullar as the Dungeon Master along with players Mayanna Berrin, Christian Navarro, Neil Newbon and Devora Wilde. Wilde and Newbon are veterans of Baldur's Gate 3, a smash hit for the Dungeons & Dragons IP. However, both actors will be playing new characters and not their Baldur's Gate 3 characters.

Of note is that the show will feature "official, unreleased D&D content" which will be put up for sale on D&D Beyond following every episode. The first arc takes place in Ravenloft and will feature content from Ravenloft: The Horrors Within. New episodes will be released weekly on YouTube, starting on April 22nd.

Wizards of the Coast previously produced several official D&D Actual Play series, including Dice, Camera, Action and Force Grey. Dice, Camera, Action was their flagship D&D program for years until it unceremoniously ended due to a scandal involving two of its players.

The only person being dismissive here is you, to the people involved in the livestream
No the dismissive ones are the ones in this discussion dismissing me for liking Soth. Maybe you would have more fun arguing with this guy who had the same critique I did about the Side Quest episode.

For anyone interested, he found a secret link to game characters for the Ted players:

No one is dismissing you for liking Soth, Soth is a lot of fun and lots of people like him.

It’s the ridiculous offence you have taken over someone else’s game of D&D that - well I wouldn’t call it dismissive, that’s far too mild.
It is not just someone else game. Why do many of you not get this. It is promotional material paid for by Hasbro as an advertisement. Its a commercial, just like 80s cartoons. If I can not critique this, then nobody can critique 80s cartoons either for: their content, lack of story continuity from any source material, or for being a commercial for toys. ;)

Because it is someone else's game even if it's sponsored by WotC, and everyone's game is different; there's no definitive version of the game even if there's an established canon by WotC. I think most that have responded to you like Soth as well, but none of us have taken his return to Ravenloft as a personal insult or attack, nor are we being completely dismissive of the show for including him or of anyone that agrees with it. We're pointing out that you need to be objective, which you're not currently.

And guess what? No one is critiquing the 80's cartoon for not following canon. Same with Honor among Thieves

Perhaps better to say “weren’t really upset by it.”?
I feel like there was too much happening too fast for anyone to remain cross with him. It's like in a zombie movie: if someone is convinced their zombified lover is actually still in there somewhere and lets zombies into the settlement and gets a lot of people killed through their stupidity.

The ranger is the guy in the zombie move who kills the dead weight. He may be a bastard, but he's not wrong.
