Has anyone else ever come across this either: You ask a question or make a statement on the Wotc boards, and it's like you get flamed by a bunch of know-it all 14 years olds (or at least by the way they sound it seems that's thier age?) who make it sound like you're stupid or need help or something? And when I ask the same question on the Enworld forum, i get many very crisp and clear responses from mature gamers who usually know what thier talking about or at least can see the issue from your point of view. I guess what I am saying is, most people at the wotc boards it has been my misfortune to encounter are very immature, and like i said over there, they remind me of a bunch of rabid magic players squabbling over a free black lotus. While enworld forum goers (;)) seem to be more in tune with the nature (or maybe spirit?) of the post and give the poster the respect he deserves. Take this for example: Guy wants to change the Dodge feat for his campaign. He changes it so that it allows him a +2 bonus against 1 individual. He posts it to the Wotc boards. Immediately he gets 1 or two replies saying yeah it might work, but then the rabid magic players show up, with posts like "The feat is balanced, as are most Wotc feats, (the original post went on about official wotc feats and all that) and you are only changing it because you are a power gamer, and you're probably going to give it to your character down the line. what do you think the same post would have gotten at enworld? Spycraft already did it, man. It works well in that game, so it should work well in your game. Considering in core d&d there are umpteen million ways to increase your attack bonus and like 4 and a half ways to raise your ac, i don't think making the dodge bonus from the dodge feat +2 instead of +1 against 1 individual is going to bring down the whole world (or make Whirlwind attack, or Spring Attack, or a slew of other feats requireing dodge as a prerequisite overpowering). well...I'm out of gas. does anyone else have a similar experience? kc
