Hopefully they can get a rules-editor who will cross-reference to make sure the stats/rules are correct, too.

Nipping the need for excessive errata = godsend for WotC.

I'm asking for entertainment purposes only. As much as I would like to think I would be great at game R&D, I have no professional experience in it and doubt they would even look at me.

Too true. WotC seems to have developed an allergic reaction to errata. It appears to cause swelling, itchyness, and amnesia.
