I view myself as being Lawful Neutral - however, a rather extensive allignment test (which output about 2 pages of information, then squegeed all that output into one title) calls me neutral evil. With that in mind...
I'm Neutral, with heavy chaotic tendencies. This doesn't translate into the 2nd edition "Madman" definition, but the 3rd edition "free spirit" one works out reasonably well.
Well, I'm a believer that the alignment system isn't the best. However, were I to be aligned I would probably be Good. I have a strong faith in laws, but I am a die-hard free market capitalist and rabid individual rights junkie so I don't know if that makes me lawful or chaotic.
Oh, and I know I'm good because the voices in my head tell me so and they would never lie to me.
Well, I am half Lawful Good, and Half Lawful Evil, so I come out to be Lawful Neutral.
I probably fall somewhat closer to evil if you go by the D&D definition, since I have no real respect for life.
I'm not necessarily a bad guy, I just don't think that just any life has meaning. I only attach significance to a few things, and could take or leave every one/ thing else.
