This one popped up a few times in the Worst Adventure thread, so let's see how this one rates.

For the record:

Tomb of Horrors: Majority vote: 8/10 Average Vote: 6.6/10
Keep on the Borderlands: Majority Vote: 10/10 Average Vote: 7.8/10

I have both played in and DM'ed this module, from beginning to end. And, I enjoyed it. It didn't bother me that it was kind of 'spitting in the face' of the Greyhawk setting; at the time I didn't really care, and I enjoyed it as a humourous adventure. There were some very bad jokes in it, but bad in a groaning kind of way that still made me smile anyway. There was also some very clever stuff.

I suspect I will be in the minority here, but I am rating it 7 out of 10.

Some chapters were interesting to read, most were painful. As a whole this moduel was completely unplayable.

My appologies to the admitted author, but the Name of the Game was the worst of the bunch.

What is wrong with NPCs named Captain Kork (a djinn), Mees Taspark (an elf) and Bones (a skeleton)?

Bogus? I'm surprised two people have voted it 10, when you don't hear many good things about it, but I started the poll to find out the views of other people. Nothing bogus about it.

I gave it a two. I never played or DM'ed it. I bought it a few years ago on eBay.

After about the fourth level, I could not stomach it any longer.

But I did feel that the "party level" was a very unique twist without being insulting. Basically, the PCs are mistaken for workers who are helping to prepare for a big party. How they handle the mistaken identity could be fun to role-play.

But, any worth in that one level was quickly drowned by my loathing of the other three levels I read.

Of course, if I re-read it today, I might want to give it a 0. But I seriously doubt I would ever want to give it more than a 2.

Crothian, you really should get your hands on U3 before you waste valuable oxygen breathing time acquiring Castle Greyhawk. ;) WotC used to have it for free on their website (U3, I mean--they had the entire Saltmarsh series in electronic form, plus the maps and artwork). I wonder if someone could find it with the Wayback Machine....

You're kidding, right?

No vote from me as I have neither played nor DMed it. Hell, I've never even read it. However, I felt I had to show up on this thread somewhere, just because of the infamy of this module.
