d20 Past

JPL

Adventurer
Man, I'd sure get a kick out of d20 Past.

If I had my druthers, I'd just make it a Victorian Age supplement.

New rules as needed, new critters [including the cast of LXG], new advanced classes [Great White Hunter, Servant, Aristocrat], and some campaign models:

- a hardcore alt-history/steampunk setting

- "For Faerie, Queen, and Country"

- Maybe a Lost World/Journey to the Center of the Earth type thing

Yep. That'd sell about five copies, and two would be to me.

Our EtherScope campiagn setting will fit the bill for your Alternative history steam punk setting. More details, includinga complete world history can be found here.

Cheerio,

Ben, Malladin's Gate Press

I hate to keep tripping over Malladin's Gate, but you should also check out GRIM TALES (look towards the bottom of our products page).

As for your LXG fix, I've now twice run a great "League" adventure; it is my proving ground for GRIM TALES playtest. It's in the Story Hour forum right here.

Wulf

Wulf, you tripping over my gate again? Must get it fixed. It's been broken ever since the Tarasque came to visit and couldn't quite squeeze through :).

No probs, I think EtherScope will be quite different to 'League' type stuff. Its feel is much more cyberpunk and cthulu than pulp action.

cheerio,

Ben

I plan to run campaigns that are similar to what you're suggesting, JPL. Have you looked at Castle Falkenstein? It's got a great world and could easily be turned into a d20 campaign, methinks.

I'm actually planning on running a time-travel campaign that will allow players to get into the spirit by crossing a whole bunch of time periods. I'm doing it through remembered reincarnation rather than physical travel, so people can create actual past people who simply have prophetic visions of the future. Hopefully, switching between Courtier-style hijinks and Babylonian epic battles and WW2 trench warfare and '20s pulp stuff will keep my players guessing. :)

Wouldn't d20 Industrial be a better name?

I'd buy it. I'll need somehing like it if I'm ever going to finish my setting.

One of these days, I'm gonna pick up GURPS Castle Falkenstein. I've thumbed through it enough to dig it.

One of these days, when I'm between jobs, I'll just have to sit down and start writing this stuff myself.

I'd like the graphic design of the book to be similar to Victorian Age: Vampire from White Wolf --- sepia-toned iconic heroes [the strong hero with a handlebar mustache], 19th century fonts...and I'd rip off as much as possible from GURPS Steampunk [a fine book even for non-GURPies like myself.
