We know its going to happen eventually but it still a ways off so I guess really the only question worth asking is what type of game would you hope to see and who would you trust to make it ? (Yes I guess Xbox or PS3/4 Wii could have one not sure I'd play it ....)
The prime candidate in my mind would be a 4e Version of Neverwinter Nights done by Atari (and honestly I dont know if thats a good or bad thing as this stage)
However with the new desciptions of the system I think I'd enjoy a Baldur Gate style game where I could enjoy micromanaging my party and play with several builds at once, although a revamp of this style f game would also be nice, something new and groundbreaking maybe hehehe ok wishful thinking
as for a 4e D&D MMO , well DDO kinda missed the mark imho, and DDO2 would need to be a hell of alot better in all aspects, honestly I dont think the technology exisits to make an MMO true to D&D, perhaps when an AI can function as DM and can create and develop a world as players interact with it. Repeatable finite Questing FOR SUCH THE LOSE !
I toy'd with making this a poll but there really are too many possibilites
