Eberron: Any new material published?

Eberron

I feel like its a dead world. 4e had what two books?

Any word on new material on Eberron?

I don't even see much for novels these days.

There is a new novel coming out, but there are no new RPG books, most of the material has been DDI.

The model all along was to release a setting/player book/module for all the settings (except Dark Sun, since it was a setting/monster book/module).

They've have new articles in Dragon and Dungeon for Eberron every now and again. They had a good article on Dragonshards recently (written by Keith Baker, no less).

Also, 98% of the 3.5 material is still valid, fluff-wise, so those books (and there are something like a dozen really good 3.5 Eberron books) are great resources.

Got all of the 3.5 stuff already.

I was just hoping there was something more out there. Eberron feels like a "dead" world out there right now.

Eberron is getting the same support as FR.

As for novels, Keith Baker's Thorn of Breland trilogy is wrapping up, Doug Bassingwaithe just wrapped up the Heirs of Dhakaan trilogy and we're getting a new novel starring Abraxis Wren (from Night of Long Shadows).

Now that WotC have spun off LFR into a semi-independent entity that's true, but until a few months ago, that ongoing organised play was doing much to create a sense of continued activity for FR. Eberron's lacked that in 4e.

Not quite. In 2011, FR is getting the Neverwinter Campaign Guide (which includes a Bladesinger class), while Eberron is still relegated to DDI-only support.

I wouldn't be surprised if late 2011 or 2012 saw something for Eberron, like a Sharn or Xendrik Campaign Guide.

Well, it's exactly as dead as every other 4e setting that has been released.

I wish there was more setting-specific support in Dragon/Dungeon. I'm really not interested in getting monthly two-page articles for every race and class to further increase the feat/item/power bloat. Imho, what the online magazines first and foremost should provide is better background material.

So, I'm particularly excited whenever an article like the recent Q'Barra backdrop by Keith Baker comes up.

Well WotC has always said, that they'd consider publishing more setting books at a later date if there was sufficient demand.

I'd actually prefer a constant trickle of setting support to waiting three years for a new book (or box) of new material, though.

I wouldn't actually want to see a new Sharn (or X'endrik) guide, though. The 3e ones will serve me well enough. I'd like to see them cover areas that don't have been explored in detail, yet. E.g. an Aerenal guide would be super-great. Exploring a particular area on X'endrik would work, too.
