I was just working on an adventure and thought "I wonder if anyone has done a template for monsters yet?"
Sure enough, someone had!

Hell, I'll kill a man in a fair fight, or if I think he's gonna start a fair fight, or if he bothers me, or if there's a woman, or if I'm gettin paid; mostly only when I'm gettin paid. But eating people alive, when does that get fun?

If anyone thinks I should make any modifications, let me know.
I would prefer a template that stays true to the formatting of the Monster Manual. While I think Wizards used in-house fonts, I've tried to get as close to the original design as possible.

Yeah, I ended up changing fonts twice until I got something that the pdf creator I use stopped mis-formatting things
I actually very specifically did it in a different color scheme and such from the monster manual, as a form of protection or whatever - I am glad you were able to use the core to get what you wanted though
Huh. I must have overwritten the directions for getting that - it used to be in the word doc
Let's see... Daelkyr originally created this and posted them on these boards, and I'd put the link in the doc before I screwed up and removed it... so it's all his work, but you can download it here.

Just a heads-up, Keterys: I used these for a little tidbit thingie I'm working on. Hopefully I'll get it up this week and you can tear my monsters a new *coughcough*hole -- all for the sake of good design, of course.
Thanks, man. Saved me a ton of work.

I made one of these myself, no heading though, yours looks better. I made at wills green, encounters red, recharges orange, immediates violet and anything I just need to remember (like auras) I made blue. I just wish there was a way to get the symbols in front of the attacks.
I tried the green/red approach and I preferred leaving things that weren't special (like at-wills) black. That or I just couldn't find a green I liked. Once I abandoned green I figured copying it wasn't for me and I wanted the triggered abilities to really stand out the most.
Tho my campaigns are often NPC oriented, I use spreadsheet (microsoft excel or openoffice calc) and I use formulas(e.g. =MAX(B12:C12)+D15+10) to save time on skills, attack powers and defenses.
It's pretty baller, so you can just adjust the level, and the saves, skills and everything changes accordingly. Of course it's always a hassle to route every power to its associated ability rating and possible modifiers, but theres no way around that anyways ^^
