Condition Cards

First Post
Ok, I had a few requests for these and was anxious to get these made for my own use as well.

So, here is a preview screenshot of what they look like...

One thing to note... For this first run, I stuck to the most popular 9 (according to all of the games I run/play in). That means, there are not condition cards for the following (yet)...

Surprised, Deafened, Petrified, Unconscious, Restrained, Helpless, Dying

I would not use cards for these specific conditions myself anyway.

You can get the download here (top of the list)...

Very nice cards. I like your icons. The subtext seems a little small to me, but I haven't printed one out to see it in real size. I'm in a group where most of the players are over 40, so small type requires handing around the reading glasses :D.

I agree that these nine are the most commonly used of the conditions. I was thinking of making some myself, with some illustrations that of course I don't have done. Yours look great however.

Thanks ;)

I have updated them, increasing the font size! (Screenshot above updated as well) - hope that helps!

Some of these have quite a bit of real estate open.

What if you took the little men there and made them into watermarks?
Or what if you added flavor text?

Very nice, these will come in handy, especially with my newer players that have a hard time tracking these. Any chance of an "ongoing damage" card? Not that it's totally necessary, right now those get handed out on sticky notes. ;)

I generally don't mind open real estate with cards like these as it's a little easier on the printer, etc. Watermarking them into the card can come out inconsistently in various printers as well. It's not a bad idea, I just tend to stick with simple and bold.

The updated sizes made a huge difference, weem. I'm going to give them a shot at my next session.

Awesome! Please come back and let me know how it goes!

Well, here are the conditions that are left...

Surprised, Deafened, Petrified, Unconscious, Restrained, Helpless, Dying

So, there are 7.

There are 3 "Ongoing" possiblities (5, 10 and 15)

So 10 cards... the sheet fits 9, so I was thinking I would leave out a condition... like Deafened perhaps. Or I could leave out "Ongoing 15" since it would be the least used of them and you could (I guess) give a 5 and 10 to someone for 15... maybe that would be confusing, I don't know.

Anyway, it's still a little up in the air what I will do for phase 2, but yes, Ongoing is on the list for that ;)

There little out there that render somebody Helpless but not Unconscious, is there? You might consider collapsing those two?

Alternately, a "deck" of these, for a six-man party, might be a sheet set something like:

6 each of Marked, Surprised, and Prone
4 each of Dazed, Slowed, Ongoing 5, Ongoing 10
3 each of Stunned, Unconscious, Dying, Ongoing 15, Blinded, Immobilized, and Weakened
2 each of Deafened, Restrained, Dominated
1 each of Helpless, Petrified

Giving you 63 cards on 7 sheets of 9.

Alternately, you could design for a 5-man party, dropping the "6 each" line to "5 each" and bumping yourself up a Dazed, Slowed, and Blinded.

That's a good idea - I could do that.

Excellent idea ;)

Why is the title in the first person and the text is in the second person?

I love the icons, these would work very well for players like mine who don't memorize all the rules. I suppose you would need to print off a few copies. I'ma download this for now.
