Essentials-inspired Fighter musings

So I'm looking at the Slayer and thinking how to handle a variety of fighting styles with just one class. My idea is to play with ability scores, and how they modify basic attacks.

Str - As usual, it modifies atk and dmg rolls for melee and heavy thrown attacks.

Dex - Again, as usual, it modifies atk and dmg rolls for ranged attacks.

Knife Fighter. You can choose to use Dex to modify atk and dmg rolls with melee weapons that have the 'off-hand' trait.

Dual Wielding. When wielding a secondary weapons (or if you have a free hand to make an unarmed strike), if you make a melee basic attack with your primary weapon and hit, as a free action you can strike with your secondary weapon. No attack roll. You just deal Dex mod + enhancement bonus to any creature within reach. It's sorta like flurry of blows.

Con - Brute. When wielding a two-handed melee weapon, if you make a melee basic attack, on a hit you deal extra dmg equal to your Con mod. On a miss, you still deal dmg equal to your Con mod + enhancement bonus.

Int - ?

Wis - Gunslinger. If you have an off-hand secondary ranged weapon, when you hit with your primary weapon, as a free action you can strike with the secondary weapon. No attack roll. You just deal Wis mod + enhancement bonus to any creature adjacent to the primary target. (Maybe increase range at higher level?)

I don't quite know where I'm going with this.

Well, for starters you could make them fighter stances or something similar.

You could make them properties of weapon groups (for everyone) and then base a new set of classes purely around powers (and eliminate the [w] from those powers).

You could grant them to this hypothetical class when he wields a particular weapon group.

You could make them benefits that are granted when this class gives someone a basic attack (ie - warlord style).
