Verasek the Creator is a peculiar beholder mage who works with a partner, Djorn the Trapsmith, a dwarf. They usually work building traps, labyrinths, stone golems and such like for rich clients, they are actually good friends and share a passion for craftsmanship and architecture, each complimenting the other.
Once in a while, Verasek travels to see Large Luigi, on the Rock of Bral, though no one knows why, well, no one who has not been non-Disintegrated, that is...! Note that unlike most beholder mages, he has managed to keep his central eye.

Hm it was the defualt texture, then I tweaked it made it more pink
in Vue I added subsurface scattering and displacement,
SSS makes it more flesh looking, displacement pushes out the actual model from the bump channel
then in post, I tweaked it heavily in lots of ways, including painting faint pinky purple bits over highlights etc.

I completely agree. I used the beholder for the center piece in the cover art when making a DM Screen for my friends birthday gift. You don't mind I hope?
