<PR MEG> so much new stuff

Mystic Eye

First Post
There is so much new stuff at our site I could write a book about it all but in a nut shell:

The covers for The Witch of Loch-Durnan and Guilds and Adventurers are both posted with a little info.

The World book is finally off to the printers.

And we have put something up about a secret project we have been working on with a short story to go with it.

Check it out when you get a chance!

This is another company whose products I probably want to buy that my local(-ish) game store doesn't carry. They have Mystic Warriors & the first monster book, but that's it.

[trancejeremy] It's not fair for me to talk about this book since I worked on it, but The Hunt: Rise of Evil is looking very, very good. I had the chance to take a look at the PDF preview and I was amazed.

Try and order it thorugh the mail. I specially recommend Of Places Most Foul (I had a lot of fun both playing AND Dming these adventures) and The Pit of Loch Durnan.

And Blight Magic is on my wish list... :)

Thanks for keeping us in your thoughts guys! I think that more stores will be carrying our products this coming year. Orders are increasing which means that more retailers are ordering (obviously).
While I will not disclose the actual number, I was absolutely amazed to find out how many copies of "Of Places Most Foul" were sold by Talon Comics. If a retailer can sell half of what Derek sold of each of our products they would be thrilled.

The World book has turned out great. "Nightmares & Dreams II" was the last time we used an amateur layout artist, so we have really addressed the last issue we have that is commonly mentioned by the fans here at EN World. We listened and reacted.
We have improved the artwork internally (as well as a paper upgrade that started with N&D II). Our cover art remains top notch; the material remains unique and filled with atmosphere. And now we have a truly skilled layout artist as well. Russ will be happy with that. :)

We really want to thank the fans that have given us the ability to grow and become a strong entity in the market of d20 and RPGs. Now, we know we weren't listed on the "ones to watch" thread for 2002 (we did get a couple of honorable mentions though) and I view that as "the gauntlet is thrown down"! We heartily accept the challenge.

Addressing a thing or two with N&D II. The couple of art pieces that did not exactly match were entirely my fault. In the last edits some of the descriptions changed and oops. Well, that is what errata is for and we are working on that now. It will only be a few minor things though. The Exoskeleton was not a mistake, we had planned for a major villain to grow out of that in Gothos. You can acutally read a bit about him now in our World book's section under Nord! He is an exoskeleton-wearing Necromancer that we touched on in the back of N&D II.

Lastly, "Blight Magic" is not at all what folks are expecting, but I am going to leave that a bit of a surprise for now. There was a reference to defilers. Now, I have never played dark sun, but from what I know of defilers the only similarity they have with blight magic is they tap the life of the land for power. Believe me when I say it takes a major left turn from there!!!! This is a really fun book that I am certain folks are going to love. Our twisted minds really went to town on this one.

Thanks again all,
Doug

Yeah, we are very excited about the upcoming products. The Worldbook is beautiful (so sue me, I'm biased!) and Foul Locales is coming together nicely.

I just sent Doug the galley proof of the Witch of Loch-Durnan. I think Doug hit the nail on the head when we were discussing the adventure. He said that the Pit and the Witch reminded him of Alien and Aliens. Alien was creepy and built tension through claustrophobic horror, while Aliens used action and overwhelming odds to build the suspense. The Loch-Durnan adventures are like that, even though it wasn't intended, it worked out very cool.

Blight magic looks interesting.......do you have an approximate date for its release? When can you give us more detailed explanations ofwhat to expect? Cheers

I think that you will love this book. Here is a little bit more about it.

My co-author on this book is Jeffrey Carter. Lead writer at Gaming Frontiers and one of the authors of our well received Of Places Most Foul.

The primary artist on this book will be Andy Hopp. See his work at http://www.andyhopp.com.

What is inside (basically)

The Basics of Blight Magic:
this covers the unique rituals, etc of blight magic. This form of magic can be used by any spellcaster, including divine as well as arcane. There is a price for this power though.
We don't want to give to much away on this part but it is very different than what most might think but it does not severely bend any of the rules and conventions of 3e.

Other things you will find:
Blighted Familiars: New kinds of familairs that can be generated using this form of magic.
Many new items, new spells, new classes, and so much more!

I want to tell you more but I want to leave some suprises in the book.

The release date is some time in the very early April or late March.
