Help Think up Kickstarter Reward Ideas

After the success of Terrain Toolbox, I'm hard at work on another book in the Advanced Encounter series. This one features suggestions for building encounters with a mission other than to kill everybody (think this thread). It will feature both advice and sample encounters.

To date I've mostly used public domain art (and a little clipart) for Sneak Attack Press products, but I'm hoping to start commissioning art with this book.

So I'm thinking about doing a small Kickstarter campaign to raise funds for art. I'm curious to hear what kinds of rewards people would be interested in, especially at the mid levels. (The first two levels would be for a .pdf of the book, then a print copy).

Some current ideas I've had:

Early Access: See the document before its published and help playtest the sample encounters.

Suggest an Encounter: You get to pick the basic foes and level range of one of the sample encounters (most likely to insert into your home campaign).

Suggest and Encounter Plus 3d Terrain: As above, and I'd build you some 3d terrain to go with it. (Here's a sample of something I've built). This would be pricey.

You or Your Character in Art: Your face or a description of your favorite PC is incorporated into one piece of artwork.

Do any of these appeal to people? What other ideas do you have that would encourage you to give a little more than just the cost of the book?

Thanks!

Consider my check already in the mail.

However, one reward I would love would be to pick an objective I'd like to see appear in the book (the essential nature of the objective/rules). Unless you plan on writing up a lot of objectives.

(Honestly I'd like to see the objective rules provided without an Encounter, sort of default rules that lets you put it in different possible scenarios).

I am planning to have a lot of objectives. (In fact I'd probably take any suggestions without need for making an extra payment.) The thing I might do with this is create a message board for people who give a little more than the base where they can give input, and take I'd suggestions as part of this.

The current plan is to have both to suit different DMs. Also a big part of the sample encounters is to show how these theories can be put into practice. (I haven't started writing this part yet, but I'm considering including commentary on each to explain why I did what I did.

Man, the $100 and $500 are sexy, but I just can't throw that at a kickstarter. I will throw some money on this on the first.

BTW, have you considered emailing this to the various RPG bloggers like Chatty DM/Critical Hits/Gnome Stew/etc? Especially considering how this is edition (and potentially system) neutral?

Thanks! We know that most people don't have a ton of money to throw around, which is why we have a wide range of options.

That's a good idea! We'll look into that.
