Honestly, it never even occured to me that anyone prefers the Black background to the Light, Stealth or even PHB themes.

Agreed, I'll see what I can do about that. Anything else that v3 needs while I'm working at it?

I've been using the black background for so long that the others look out of place. They're just not Enworld for me.

On my LCD, I rather see bright letters on dark background - a bright background sears my retinas, especially during the evening/night, when I don't have all lights on. For that reason, I'm using a Firefox extension to get a Google with dark background.

Cheers, LT.

Same here, light text on a dark background doesn't hurt my eyes, but light backgrounds with dark text does.

BTW, what is the name of that Extension?

Excuse me if I come off as a doofus, but can someone point me in the direction of the icons, but black for white backgrounds?

Seconded. I don't know it any other way.

Oh my concept-I-don't-believe-in, will ENWorld 2 change this?!

Stylish. As many extensions, it is in its pre-1.0 version and has some kinks (especially if you want to use custom styles for more complex pages) - but for a darker google, it's enough!

Cheers, LT.

Wormwood,

This is a triumph! I'm making a note here, huge success.

Any way to make the dice icons with some other color, or with a border around the edges to delineate them? They just become floating black dots when in stealth mode.

Do you know where I can get the icons, but in black for a white background?

I want to like Stealth, but since it's so useless that it can't even tell me what threads I've posted in, I just stick with plain ol' black here at the office.

Interesting smilies. Maybe we might actually get to see a better selection of general smilies when ENWorld 2 comes out...

Wormwood's version 2 symbols: (for use on whitebackgrounds)

Ondo's die 6's: (also work fine on white background)

Thanks much, Wormwood & Ondo for the icons. And thanks also to Daelkyr for the updated font!

Thanks, but I already have those, and they are a little faint/greyish.

They're good, don't get me wrong, but I would like something as crisp as normal black font on word.

These are Wormwood's version 2, inverted, then converted to grayscale and the brightness and contrast increased until they had pure white, while retaining the pure black they already had.

This is the first step I took to get the light yellow icons; these should be useful for people who want other colors.

Here's the ones I just posted, inverted again. I hope they'll work for you.

Yeah, I just checked and it's the same for me. ENWorld just doesn't look right without a black background.
