Close Blast Size?

Can you alter the size of a close blast effect, like a dragonborn's dragonbreath? I was wondering if you you could make it smaller if desired? I had the enlarged breath feat but there were several situations that made it a detriment to my friends as the area was too large.

As per the feat "enlarged dragon breath" pg 195, you can choose to make it blast 5 instead of blast 3.

That seems to be all you options.

When you use your dragon breath ability, you choose either blast 5 or blast 3 if you have the enlarged dragonbreath feat. So yes you can choose blast 3 if that's better for your allies, or blast 5 if you need to get more bad guys with it.
