Sat 6pm-10pm+: Sorcery and Super Science Beta

Sorcery and Super Science Beta

After some hard fought negations between myself and Suzi Yee of Expeditious Retreat Press (XRP) I have been given special permission to run their new game Sorcery and Super Science once at Gen Con. The game is still being developed so this is a Beta test. I played in the alpha and really enjoyed the setting and the system.

The setting for Sorcery and Super Science is a post apocalyptic Earth. Characters include mutants, people that talk to spirits and do sorcery, scientists who assemble items of new technology by piecing together parts of run down technology, and someone who can be a master of their own fate more then most people.

The system for Sorcery and Super Science is new and unlike anything I've seen. It is not hard or rules heavy, just different. One can potentially use d4, d6, d8, d10, d12, d16, and a d20. I will have d16's if people need them as I realize that is not a common die most people have.

Sorcery and Super Science will be run for up to six players. I plan on having an early dinner before the game and players (and anyone for that matter) are more then welcome to join me though I have no idea where dinner will be found just yet.

I also don't know where Sorcery and Super Science will be held. More then likely it will by in one of the open gaming areas but we might have to play it by ear depending on how full those are.

I like Piratecat's idea of giving dibs to people that sign up for the ENnies booth since I am part of the ENnies. We'll see if that is needed.

Players for Sorcery and Super Science
1-3 Don Adams party of three
4 TroyXavier
5 Shaylon
6 Frater

Alts

Definitely curious to try it (and a volunteer at the booth) though I'll need to check a couple things before I can give it a definite yes.

A couple friends and I would love to play, but we've got a Dread game that runs until 6:00 PM at the Omni. So there's the possibility we'd be a few minutes late. Is that a problem?

Or, we have an extra ticket to the Dread game (which starts at 2:00) that we'd be happy to bribe you with.

The biggest issue would be knowing where my game is going to be.

We can exchange numbers that'd be fine. How many people are you?

I'm in if you have room for me. Put Frater down too if you can as a tentative.

Both are in. Don't be surprised if Frater gets passively aggressively killed for moving on us.

Unfortunately my ride home had to cancel on me because he had to work so I had to miss the game. Hope it was a lot of fun for those who did play.

Sorry we muissed you. It was a lot of fun. THings were a little slow going at the beginning because the rules are new and very different. But once people got a grasp of them we all had a lot of fun. Everyone who played got a free d16!
