Are the wereboar, werebear, and werewolf much different from the core 3e versions? And, on a similar note, is the sand golem in Sandstorm the same thing? I assume you've checked, but inquiring minds want to know!

I've updated the unconverted Imagine creatures thread so it now includes the uniques. But I'm leaving off the minor variations. And the undead parrot

Polly wanna brain?

When you get a chance, would you mind throwing those additional writeups in the Paging Echohawk thread?

The lycanthropy article from Imagine #28 is an expansion of the existing D&D and AD&D rules at the time, and posits two forms of lycanthropy, a werexxx form and a lesser xxxman form (where xxx=bear/boar/tiger/wolf/jaguar/lion). Based on a quick skim through the article, it doesn't look like a conversion would be much different from the 3e versions.

Well, they are both golems... made of sand

There seem to have been five sand golems in D&D history:
  • Imagine #19
  • White Dwarf #64
  • Monstrous Compendium Dark Sun Appendix: Terrors of the Desert
  • Midnight's Terror (a 3.0 Kingdoms of Kalamar adventure)
  • Sandstorm

These appear to be five slightly different creatures. The Dark Sun version has been updated by the Athas.org crew, but the Imagine and White Dwarf versions haven't been directly converted to 3ed yet (as far as I know).

Sure. Do you just want those five uniques, or do you want the Undead Parrot as well?

(And, now that I look, technically the "Full Warhorse" also hasn't been updated to 3ed...)

Anything you want to post would be appreciated. Even undead parrots deserve our love.

Done. I hereby avow all responsibility for the extreme silliness of some of those creatures .
