Last year I called Sword & Sorcery studios the D20 system "publisher to watch." So who, other than WotC, do you think will be the D20 system publisher to keep your eye on, with the most promising titles and product lines?

I think Sword & Sorcery are still the people to beat, they got out of the gate early they have lots of money and so far they quality products. Certainly they are not inassailable, but I suspect they will still be around when many D20 publishers are just distant memories.

I think it is not just S&S but Sword & Sorcery & Company

The fact that Sword and Sorcery helps out Malhavok, Necromancer, and Fiery Dragon means that when I think of any of those I think of the others - a happy little family.

Bzzzt... foul!

This poll does not count publishing companies or banners. Just the design houses.

I think FDP, Green Ronin, and AEG will all be racehorses this year. But Atlas could be the sleeper hit, with Nyambe and Occult Lore.

I think S&SS will taper of a bit this year as they get more campaign-specific, but thing the other S&S folks will ramp up a bit.

Privateer Press

Mongoose and Privateer Press are my ones to watch.

Why?

Mongoose has a nice diversity to their products.*

Privateer Press for production values.*

*Disclaimer: I'm a freelancer for both companies ;-)

I have to say I am going to be watching Eden Studios. Especially with their Fields of War coming up. I will also be looking forward to Privateer's two sourcebooks coming along, as well as Green Ronin's new classbook series...

I think I have let it be known that Kalamar is my setting of choice but I think the one company to watch is:

Troll Lord Games...

They have just released their world setting and it has a mini adventure by Gary Gygax in it.

They have Luke and Ernie Gygax writting for them

They have Gary Gygax writting for them

They have Rob Kuntz writting for them

and they have, in the works, another setting in the works call "War of Thorns" that sounds very gritty.
