Just curious if anyone knows whatever happened to Roger E. Moore? He worked for WOTC back when it was TSR and was a big supporter of the World of Greyhawk back when it was getting no love whatsoever from the big boys (or big gal, as the case may be). He was also an editor for Dragon Magazine and was the author of the very excellent Greyhawk supplements "The Adventure Begins," and "Return of the Eight."

Just wondering if he was still in the biz or if he has moved on to other endeavors.

Thanks!

Here's the wiki entry for Roger E Moore. Nothing after 2000 it looks like, though there's a link at the bottom to Pen and Paper that says he edited something in 2001. That's all I got after an exhausting 1 min internet search.

One of the credits in Pen and Paper is "The Door from Everywhere", a really enjoyable FR adventure in Dungeon #88, in 2001. It sounds like that might've wound up being his last published RPG effort. A shame that he left the industry; I always enjoyed his work.

Could someone summarize what the thread at Dragonsfoot says? I mostly know his short stories he wrote for Dragonlance(probably the best short stories in all of Dragonlance). :)

Well OK, I'll spare you the effort of clicking on the link... :p

It says that after he was let go by HASBRO at the end of 2000 he decided to leave RPGs behind and politely declined the invitation to join Dragonsfoot to chat with fans of his work.

Ahhh, OK. That is a shame, I loved his DL short stories! :D

EDIT: Thanks Nikosandros! :D

Man, given how much he gave to D&D -- the modern versions of the races (minus the halflings) are essentially all him, via the Point of View articles -- it's a shame that he's no longer interested in being part of RPGs. A great underappreciated talent, IMO.
