3.5 Errata... What's Going On?

Over a year ago, WotC promised us an "errata push", where they would do a much better job of following up on corrections for existing products. It took a few months more than origninally planned, but we eventually got a few more errata docs out of them (SC, MIC, PHB2, and a couple others). After these released, we were also promised updates to even more. Specifically, we were supposed to get errata for Complete Champion, Tome of Battle, and Complete Psionic (in that order; they were working backwards). Personally, I have also been hoping against hope that we finally see printed versions of the stealth errata in the Rules Compendium.

Unfortunately, we were also told that after 4e was released, WotC would not be putting any more effort into errata for 3.5e. And we have not seen any of the latest promised errata, despite being told it was in the works at least 4 months ago. To make matters worse, the errata page ( http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/er/20040125a ) has actually gone back in time, and now does not even show the latest errata that came out in 2007/2008.

Does anyone have any news about 3.5 errata? I'll admit that it's been a long time since I've been over to the Gleemax, so if someone blogged or posted an update, I wouldn't know about it.

I don't know where they are stored on the site, and I don't know whether it constitutes a 'big' push, but they did come out with several erratas in the last 6 or 8 months. For instance, i think there was errata for complete mage and complete champion and such.

Basically, they were pushing through the newer releases and working backwards. Whoever was working on it was trying to go back as far as possible before the new edition took over, with the understanding that there wouldn't be any more after that.

At any rate, I think that was the result of the 'big push'.

Take it with a grain. I'm just going from memory.

It'd be a shame if WotC didn't follow through on their announcement for 3.5 errata. :(
I will be shocked, yes shocked, if they don't follow through on their grandiose promises of online support! And they have such a good track record!

I'm disappointed that they didn't get to Tome of Battle. I didn't think they would get to all the books but I hoped that that one might make it in on time.

I was also quite looking forward to errata on Tome of Battle. I really love that book, so there were a few things I was hoping they'd take the time to fix for us.
