WoTC has posted excerpts of their first paragon tier adventure, including the new version of the will-o-wisp. Rich Baker wasn't kidding about the new version of the ol'wisp.

Sounds like a cool adventure. I'm planning on running these things in order and i've plopped them in the FR. The Trollhaunt sounds a lot like the Savage North...

I'm planning on giving Pyramids of Shadows a miss, expanding on Thunderspire, my faster levelling and some random encounters should allow me to run this and I already have and areas selected in my 4e Magnamund and some ideas for expanding it.
I'm setting it in a place called Maakenmire swamp, there is a citadel at the centre of the swamp call K'Va ruled by intelligent and powerful lizard creatures, they are also powerful Lizardmen/Troglodyte tribes throughout the swamp. I'm going to introduce the trolls - and their new king - into the mix and have a bit of an ongoing war there, certainly lots of animosity.
The powerful Lizard creatures in the citadel do not intervene and are rarely seen. Not sure what they are about yet, but I'll place them in the upper Paragon tier of Threats...

Yes! Yes! It reeked of the Evermoors the first time I read it. Why didn't this come out sooner!

Yes, very Evermoor-ish... but also potentially good for the Great Grey Land of Thar in the Northern Moonsea region near where Rich's novel Swordmage is set. What if the ogre kingdom of old was not an ogre kingdom but a fomorian kingdom? While not entirely canon it still feels right.
The more I see of Rich Baker's stuff the more I think he is the best designer on the WotC team. He has designed some really cool mechanics (warlock for 3.5E, swordmage for 4E), a few really good adventures (Forge of Fury, Red Hand of Doom and this one also looks good) and I like what he did for 3.5E Forgotten Realms as well. More power to him. (insert thumbs up smiley)
Superficially, without having seen the adventure, Trollhaunt sounds more fun than Pyramid of Shadows, which i own but have not read thoroughly. I guess i could skip that one and really, really expand on Thunderspire. Or maybe just take pieces from Pyramid and use that to bridge the gap to Trollhaunt.
Since it really hasn't been discussed, I have to say that I really like the new version of the will-o-wisp. I never liked that it was an aberration in 3.5e, so the change to the fey origin is most appropriate IMO. Also liked its abilities, especially the Luring Glow with its sustain minor ability. They can certainly be nasty little critters.

Yeah, that level 12 encounter will be making an appearance in my Castle Ravenloft campaign, when they begin to track down the Swamp Fane.

The new will-o-wisp is awesome. I love it. The abilities just exude evil, evil, evil. Waits around for an opportunity, goes in for blood. And then ZIP. It's gone. Fantastic.
Doesn't the Fey Light power contradicts the errata on concealment? Is simple concealment enough for a stealth check? Or is that a specific exception for this power?

It's a specific exception, since it is listed in the power description.

Based on the wording of the power description, I don't think that the concealment and Stealth check to remain unnoticed are directly related.

I'm running some will-o'-wisps in my game tomorrow night, and am unsure about Luring Glow. It's a standard, but sustain minor. Does that mean it can turn it on as a standard action, and then attack with it each turn as a minor action until it goes dark (at which point it can no longer sustain)? Or does the sustain keep the target dazed until they save?

Huh! Yeah, that's a weird one.
I'd say that it means a Wisp can Pull 3 as a minor action against a target who hasn't saved yet. The second daze is superfluous because the character evidently hasn't stopped being Dazed yet, given that they haven't saved yet.
Also, welcome to ENWorld! FYI, there's a 4e D&D Rules Discussion forum just a little ways down the main forum page where we love talking about this kind of stuff. I figure you probably hopped straight into this thread from Google, and didn't notice.
