My 4E Wishlist

Chaoszero

First Post
So I've really been thinking about my expectations of what new books are coming out and lo! I get selfish.
So I present what my list to the execs over at wotc looks like so they can get to work on the important stuff.

PHB3: Elemental, Ki and Shadow Heroes
Okay, obviously, psionics are coming first, but I hardly use that source in my homebrew and the above three constantly. Bring on the shadowmancer.

Hollow Hill: Secrets of the Fey
Custom title. Its not bad. OH MAN! I want a faery book! I was waiting for it in 3E and it never came. Wantwantwant.

Heroes of Sword and Sorcery
I will always have a soft spot for low magic and saving the scantly-clad girl from the sacrificial alter of the evil demon prince. I want more 'magic is rare and dangerous' and ways to circumvent having to give players magic items (though 4e does do a nice job with that).

4E Modern
Oh yeah. Thats right, I said it. I want gun powers.

And its not really high on my wishlist but it would be awesome to see what the Unearthed Arcana 4E is going to look like.

Thats my piece.

My wish list is all about the 4e MM2.

Ankheg
Disenchanter
Dragon turtle
Eye killer
Eye of the deep
Juiblex
Leucrotta
Mustard jelly
Pennangalan
Peryton
Rust monster (and NOT the wussy mearls type, sorry mearls!)
Screaming devilkin (not seen since 1e!)
Sea serpent
Spawn of Kyuss
Spell weaver

Oriental Adventures. Probably not going to happen, but I'd love to see it anyway.

Sixguns & Spellslingers. Western fantasy, 'nuff said.

Spelljammer. It looks like its a good possibility based on the Manual of the Planes cover.

Unearthed Arcana. Give me more racial anc class variants.

New World Adventures: Indian Ascendancy Campaign Setting. It would most likely have to be a GSL 3PP compliant, but I want a campaign setting that features the Indians of North America having fought the European invaders and have chosen a hndful of explorers to tame the unknown for colonization.

No Way! I was going to put down a New World Adventures type thing but though I'd be the only one.

Btw Spawn of Kyuss is a template in Open Grave and its awesome. Open grave is really going to help out anyone converting Age of Worms to 4e.

as for mm2:
Centaur
Bariaur
Afanc
Leprichan
More dire animals
Leshay
Greenwise
Jacklewere
Were-raven

Technology Through the Ages: A book divided up into chapters for different eras of technological progress, from Renaissance to Industrial Era (I suspect they would make up their own terms of each era). In each chapter it would be a combination of fluff and crunch as it describes how technology and progress of society has altered a fantastical world (most likely PoL) and then showcase mechanical changes, ie; items (like firearms), feats, PPs, EDs, etc.

PHB3: Psionic, Shadow and (Ki or Elemental either will do): I adore Psionics, especially when they keep the pseudoscience terms and less fantastical feel. I also LOVED my Beguiler in 3.5 so to see a 4e version most likely be a Shadow Power class be great to see.

Fey Book and Aberration Books: So far the Monster books have been pretty good, lets see that continue with a Fey and also a Aberration books.

The Tome of Artifacts. A DM's book of malicious magic.

The Complete Magic User - Alternative magic using class with unique spell lists (never happen, but it's on my Wish List anyway).

The 4e Unearthed Arcana, with oodles of ways to stretch and warp the rules.

And Dark Sun 4e!

Open Grave has led me to truly believe 4e Ki=3.5 Incarnum as such i really cant stop hoping THAT will appear in PHB3 together with Psionics and Shadow (However im hoping it will not be the "Divine" equivalent of PHB1, because i will be pissed if they just flesh out Psionics and dip into Shadow and Ki just to finish them in PHB4 like they did now with Divine and Arcane in the PHB2)

As an aside im hoping that the entire Ki powersource will have that Oriental Adventures Theme (if possible i also want the races featured to have such a feel)

Oh and I want a fleshed out Ravenloft... i know Stradh is in Open Grave.... but just ONE Ravenloft being isnt enough for me I need more, I need Azalin and Van Richten!

I'd love:
PHB3: Psionic, Ki, and (Elemental/Shadow) Heroes, with 4 Psionic and 2 of each other source, including the Monk.

Manual of the Planes II: The Feywild, Manual of the Planes III: The Shadowfell, etc. Manual of the Planes did not do it for me. I want more information, and a lot more statblocks on the locals. Maybe a few Draconomicon like encounters as well.

More info on the campaign settings! I get why dozens of books on them may not be the best investment of resources. But maybe a magazine in DDI for them? Dragon simply does not have enough.

Oh I also second the Unearthed Arcana, a friend and I have a custom set of rules to allow for 4e Gestalt but it would be awesome to see WotC give official guidelines for this quirky invention :D
