We were just calling it, "Ooh, you rolled max damage."

I heard that phrase at a convention last weekend from a woman who was representing Goodman Games.
Hmmmm.... The guy in my group has been using this for several months, and I thought he invented the phrase. But evidence is lacking. Maybe he heard it or read it somewhere.
In any case, it gives me a warm, fuzzy feeling when someone in our group barely manages to hit and then rolls 24 on 3 d8's.
In 4e you don't roll damage on a critical hit and simply max damage on all of your dice, unless you have a weapon that adds an additional dice on crits.

Thats cool. I'll have to spread that one around here.
I thought a DM around here was saying 'Funeral Damage' when a player had a monster dead by only minimal damage but wanted to roll anyway. Turned out I only 'heard' it. He was just saying 'roll yer damage'.
They just call it a regular crit. By contrast, they call what WE consider to be a regular crit a "super crit".

I just in general don't like it when "ghetto" is used in the positive sense much at all. The word makes me think of certain sections of town in the middle ages and certain "camps" during the Holocaust. Never really got into the whole slang reinvention of it.
