Why did you put this :"...the first campaign settings (DRAGONLANCE and FORGOTTEN REALMS) were released..." in the 4e PLAYERS HANDBOOK?

THE WORLD OF GREYHAWK was the first campaign released. A folio version was released in 1980, followed by a boxed set in 1983. Both predate the aforementioned campaign worlds, and were supported by fiction (mostly short stories written by Gary, and the novel QUAG KEEP by Andre Norton), and virtually all modules released for ADVANCED DUNGEONS & DRAGONS prior to the release of the other campaign settings were placed in GREYHAWK.

So, given that neither DRAGONLANCE nor FORGOTTEN REALMS were the first released campaign settings, are you (WotC) going to correct the error in later printings of the 4e PHB?

I'll add it to the errata queue. I'm sure it was just an oversight - there at least 2 Greyhawk campaigns run by people at the office.

as long as we have you here mike could you go take a look at all the Expertise feat arguments both here and at WotC board. It seams to me it is a very hot button topic that maybe if one of you guys had time to we could get a nice Design and development like thing on.
The intent of this rule isa major fight on alot of boards

We talked about addressing the issue this week, but a bunch of folks have been out of the office and we haven't made an official decision. I think it'll be a design and development column, but we just need to hammer out the details.

Please do.

I was happy to see the speedy errata clarifying the silly thing about weapons qualifying for more than one expertise.

Mike, if you do a design and development article on the expertise feats, would you (please) include some comments about the character stat array that the game math is designed around, and the expected hit rate related to that?

Uh, I hope I don't come across as a jerk but could you guys maybe ask Mike rules questions for 4e D&D in another thread?

I just don't want to get lost in the maelstrom. Thanks.

Can you edit your posts? Because his name is MEARLS. One E. I am a grammar nazi, and your topic is making my brain hurt.

That is all.
