[character builder] How the heck do I do this?

Let's assume for a sec that I want to give a free expertise feat to every character at first level. Can I set up Character Builder to allow this? If so, how?

I did find the House Rules page, but I don't entirely understand how it works. On the plus side, poking around revealed the page that shows in detail exactly what came in from every source, incredibly useful information all in one place.

Thanks!

Go to the feats section.

In the lower-left window where your selected feats are displayed, you'll a small yellow house with an "h" in it. Click on that to give the character a bonus feat slot (the program will mark the character as houseruled).

Yep - it's easy to miss.

This, btw, is exactly what I use for all of my players' PCs, starting at 5th level. I add Expertise as a house-ruled feat for everything they normally use. (FWIW, I also give the bonus for all non-weapon, non-implement attacks, but there's no way to do this apart from by hand, after printing...)

Groovy. I was actually trying to do this very thing the other night and somehow missed the option to give a bonus feat slot. Thanks!

Also, as another nice option, you can edit AC, Defenses, Skills, and HP on the character sheet, after it displays (just click on the number and change it. you will be prompted with a "why" box, and it will then put the number in the miscellaneous section)

You can also edit/modify the class/racial bonus descriptions (you cannot add/delete, but you can describe them as you see fit).

You cannot edit attack/damage or special information, yet (I keep requesting, though).

This may not be the right place, but is there a way to add legacy weapons or your own magic items to the char builder?
Thanks

It's interesting what you can find when playing with the character builder. Click on your class abilities and it opens up all class abilities (from every class, paragon path and epic destiny) for you to be able to take.
