I don't see what's so lurker-like about the Wisp. The leaderness certainly comes through, but not the lurker qualities. Sure, it has CA, but that's not much.

Personally I think the FT are a little weak in the damage department, cool fluff aside. I don't see them efficiently killing anything to bringing in the feeding power.

Fell Taints really remind me of some monsters from a Cthulhu Now scenario called "Fractal Gods." Does anyone who is familiar with that scenario get the same vibe, or is it just me?

They all attack NADS rather than AC, which will hurt the heavy armour types a lot.

The other thing is that they're the first monster I've seen(*) that is actually rewarded for CdGing a PC.

(*) Though I certainly could have missed others, and I haven't got MM2 yet..

Fell taints attack your nads?!?!?! Well, I guess it makes sense kinda . . .

NADS? CdGing? Unfamiliar acronyms make my head hurt . . .

WotC: Still Sucking at Names.

Honestly, if they could hire one person with some writing experience...not even much, just, you know, a bachelor's in English or something. Or, in this case, even a thirteen year old with a working euphamism vocabulary. *sigh*

Regardless, I tend to like the beasties that are cthuloid in D&D. A nice chocloate-peanutbutter mix. I could just never ever use the critter in my game without a name overhaul. ;)
