You know, a few months ago, I actually had a dragonborn NPC in my campaign tell one of the PCs "One you go scale, all others pale."

It scares me that Rich and I seem to think alike in that regard.

That joke seemed to take a blunt-as-a-dwarfen-hammer swing at WoTC and the art introducing female dragonborn with dragonbewbs. Who was the artist that produced the first published first dragongbewbs image?

OK. Wacky and totally unsubstantiated prediction.... The 2011 campaign setting has been decided, it's one of the 3.5 runner-up settings.... and it's not Rich's.

Dude, OotS was practically built on sticking out it's tongue and making fun of D&D in all its editions.

It's allowed to make a few jabs at 4e.

William O' Connor was the lead concept artist for 4e.

Wow, Belkars attempts to be helpful are ... really pathetic. Oh well, on the plus side Mr Scruffy will eat well, and maybe Haley can get a fur coat out of it.

Which is different than OOTS from any other point in its history how?

The combat system should be based on the world design. The world design should not be based on the combat system.

My 4 year old ties a towel to her shoulders and pretends to be a superhero. Roleplaying is not between the covers of a book.

As an extension of that, if you tell me that any game is the same just because you roleplay the same, then as far as I am concerned, you don't get the point.

I think it was merely a winkwinknudgenudge joke at WotC's expense. I've got nothing against reptilian mammaries. Mmm...

Heck it is as much a joke on the community's rage against dragonboobs.

Yeah, it's an issue at which the whole RPG community gets nippy. The edition wars have left major cleavage between players.

So I for one am glad Rich felt up to making jokes about it.

I know I'm planting my feet firmly to brace for the backlash that will inevitably result from this terrible, terrible pun.

With enough widespread forum engineering, I would think not.

It would look like mass tech to me.
