5ever, or until 2024
Note: Vote on this one!

Show your love for those that remain, and help pick the Top Ten.

This time, I am asking for people to “pick 5”. Next round, you will be forced to pick one.

We had a tie for 6th place last round, so being the generous guy I am I let the paladin and artificer in this round. But 7 are going after this one.

Round 1, with results, here:

EDIT: And feel tree to trash talk er I mean comment on your choice.

Can't believe the paladin is this low after what 4E did for the class. Hell, I'm playing one.

(That said I didn't vote for 'em, either).

Warlord: probably the biggest surprise, though over in the rules forum, they seem to be growing on people.

Paladin: I have one in my group as a PC and another as a sort of cohort (though that one is going away). So someone must like them. But I think I can safely say that they won't make it to the next round.

I only voted for four because I only give a damn about four. :p

Hell yeh Swordmage. (And vague yay to Cleric, Paladin and Bard, though Bard less than the others since in practice 4E Bard does little for me, but I still love the idea of Bards. They really needed to not have something as goofy as Wands as implements, and Valorous Bard, despite being a good concept, is annoying to play and doesn't have enough damned powers for it. I'll be fair to the last Bard I made and note that it was a Valorous Bard made in ten minutes from shuffling through PHB2 and a borrowed copy of AP. Maybe with some time and CB I could build a Valorous Bard that satisfies... Except I like my current character and have no plans to switch.)

And this poll still needs the awesomesauce that is Seeker.

After seeing the Bard in action I am a little underwhelmed. Dabbles in everything, master of nothing. Yet, when my second group's Bard suicided to change character, the entire group died the very next session... maybe a coincidence, maybe not. Domination at level 5 is pretty cool though, I must say. A Half Elf Rogue/Bard on the other hand.... pretty awesome!

I'm going to offer a little prayer now to whoever's listening: 'please, don't let the fighter win again. Yes, we like him, but that much?'

Well, it's probably the most tactically interesting class and the best defender while having the best toys.

When they design the next edition they should spend a LOT of time looking at why the Fighter worked so well. It feels like a fully realized concept in a way that some of the others don't.

YMMV, etc. I may also have blinders on since my 4e experience is so limited, but that's how it felt to me.
