Pleasantly surprised to see the Swordmage doing so well! I've heard people say that they think they're overpowered, other people say they were weak, other people say they were 'weird', but I've never heard anyone (other than me) say that they like them before.

So many people enjoy the idea of playing a gish, and so many systems out there fight against it, tooth and nail. I love that 4e finally let us play a gish that actually works! More or less, anyway.

I like everything but "gish" actually.

I remember when they were called "elves".

I don't really consider the Swordmage a gish. A real fighter/magic user should have arcane utilities and ranged attacks combined with martial melee strikes. And yes, it should be a striker, not a defender.

I see the fighter got his usual surge of support.

But we have one more day, still time to give the warlord the lead, or keep the cleric or bard in the game (though probably not both) in the game.

I spot surprising amounts of Warlord support :)

The last character I made that I would love to play is a Dragonborn Inspiring Warlord. Plenty of leader abilities: to-hit buffing, damage buffing, healing, grants saves. In addition he has great charisma that is good for RP skills like Diplomacy. Reminds me of my Cleric/Knight of the Rose from Dragonlance 3.5, just with more skills.

Fighter FTW! Lots of flavor, can actually stand with the big boys at the higher levels, and that new Brawling Fighter previewed the other day at the Wizards' site has me more excited to be a Fighter player than ever.
