Who runs your game?

Mostly because I'm interested to see if DM still trumps GM in popularity.

For me it's almost always a DM, even if it's not D&D. It's a hard habit to break.

As the DM, I provide the initial environment and adjudicate player actions.

The players run the game with their choices, and reactions to consequence.

I think I skew toward GM, but I use DM quite a bit (especially for fantasy), and Ref much less frequently. Really it depends upon whether I'm in polite company or not.

Referee is my preferred term of art, though my favorite title is still Administrator from Top Secret. Judge is good, too.

Me too. I think technically, I'm the GM for the Pathfinder games I run.

We use DM and GM pretty interchangeably.

We also say we're playing "D&D" as a catch all for role playing games.

Like calling all facial tissue Kleenex.

It's usually called 'Spielleiter' which most closely resembles GM, I think. We definitely do not call it Kerkermeister
