Yes. Gestalt mystic campaign based in the 1970s.
The end of the game consisted of a battle to prevent the gates of Heaven being opened by a maniacal fundamentalist scientist who was driven by the voice of a corrupted spirit.
We went from 3rd to 21st level in ~ 1.5 years of 1/week sessions between 4-8 hrs. Seven players, 5 maxed, it was nice. Last characters consisted of a lwa touched martial artist (replacing the ectomantic assassin who was forced away from the group by . . . bad means), a Roma sorcerer (probably the least favorful and most accident prone), an African American thief-turned-fixer with a talent for producing mystic items, an ancient automaton, and a half-giant imbecile with a howler animal companion. Half of my 'amazing game' stories come from that campaign...
Afros and incense were everywhere

. Good times.
