I dunno if this is the right forum for this but...

I recently became addicted to this game. I've heard you can play online with other people? But I dunno how. I'm trying to convice a few friends to play with me. Does anyone here play and know how that whole thing works???

And yes I know i said in my other thread that I never liked pc and such type of rpgs but I DO liek this one!

Thanks. I thought there had to be a better forum for this and didn't see one(I think my page loaded incorrectly actually). I'm new to enworld, is there a way to move this topic there? Or do I need to start another one over there?

Just be sure to pick up the CEP expansion mod for NWN- Lots of extra cool stuff.

Unless you are talking about a LAN game, the easiest way is to find a world you like, using the options right there on the startup menu, and invite your friends to play there with you.

Yeah, online and/or group play is built into the game. You can go in and join somone else's server, or, if you have a chunky computer like me, download a module you'd like to play and host your own game using the server application.

It's been a while since I played, but I believe there are several module collection databases, like nwvault and stratics, not just modules, but tons of new material too.

If you find an adventure named Ye Grand Shoppe, I made that one, it's all random encounters and a treasure store...good for powerlevelling so you can play whatever quests you want.

There just a new premium module released for NWN, "Infinite Dungeons", sort of like the old Dungeon Hack game.

I was probably going to buy it, but then discovered you had to be connected to the internet to play it. Grrrrr. I can see why they want to prevent piracy, but couldn't they come up with some sort of WinXP activation scheme? To make sure it only works on the computer that downloaded it, as opposed to constantly checking...

There's a pretty good Sticky thread on the BioWare forum about multiplayer. Covers playing the basic game in MP, persistent worlds, and I think Neverwinter Connections.
