Layoffs at WotC

Bill Slavicsek (Director of R&D for Dungeons & Dragons Games and Novels) has confirmed in his latest (and last) column that he left WotC today after nearly 20 years.

There are unconfirmed rumours flying round of other layoffs also, including Michelle Carter and Stephen Schubert.

curious: I read somewhere once that by somewhere around 2050, nearly 1/4 the population of the Earth will have worked or is currently working for McDonalds.......If WotC keeps laying people off and hiring new ones in the D&D department, won't the same hold true for them as well? :-)
